Established in the 80's, Gado Gado was one of Bali's most fashionable clubs, and like all good things, it has matured with age, and reincarnated (as we are in Bali) in the summer of 2001, to become one of the island best rated restaurants. The modern open space creates a European ambience under a traditional alang-alang roof, the wooden deck is cooled by the sea breeze coming from the Indian Ocean and the Pura Camplung Tanduk, the Seminyak Hindu temple and its immediate neighbor, blesses the restaurant Quirijn is a new face on Bali's dining scene and brings with him the culinary skills he learned whilst working together with some of the world’s most revered chefs like the famous Pascal Jalhaij of Vermeer, Ronald Kunis from River Cafe in London and Martijn Kajuiter from Marco Pierre White. Quirijn and his creations rely heavily on classic European cuisine with an infused modern touch. A selection of dishes might include seared tuna in spice crust with cucumber / shallot marmalade, soy glazed beef and yoghurt, grilled rouleau of chicken with green asparagus, tomato confit, parmesan and tarragon mayonnaise, red snapper wrapped in bacon with green peas, artichoke and beurre noissette vinaigrette, seared Wagyu rumpsteak ‘à la bonne femme’ with thyme jus, and the Gado Gado signature chocolate melted cake.
