Lombok Surf Camp

Lombok Surf Camp is a surf school located in the beautiful bay of Grupuk, South Lombok. Come and take part of our vision of chill out and action in a beautiful environment without wrecking your economy.

In the surfing paradise of Indonesia, we are welcoming you to our surf school. For those you who are staying in the Bali region for a while or on your way around the world staying here could be a great kick off point.  For the inexperienced surfers, the best way to start is with guidance and instruction from our certified Swedish instructors who have vast knowledge about the local area and the quickest way for you to have the best time possible.  With the Lombok price-range and our experience, we offer two weeks all inclusive accommodation, breakfast lunch and dinner, lessons by certified instructors¹, all equipment, waves and good times! 

Though the surfing and atmosphere on Bali is excellent, it is not so suitable for a surf-school considering the limited availability of mellow waves and heavy crowds. On Lombok we found a wave-consistent bay with perfect conditions for both beginners and experienced surfers.   

We put the emphasis on the whole lifestyle experience and arrange activities like volleyball and soccer tournaments as well as bonfire nights.

We offer our courses in different time lengths but recommend the two-week course due to the positive results consistency provides for surfing. As well, a completed two-week course ensures the guests will be well prepared with surfing knowledge to continue surfing on their own.  

We can teach you: 

-To look at forecasts, to see how waves are formed, how they travel across the sea and eventually break at shore.  

- Where there are suitable waves and when the best period to go there.

- All the necessary equipment knowledge, and what to think about when purchasing a board. Most of us waste a lot of money in the beginning because the lack of knowledge.  



- Paddling techniques and balance.  



- Water safety.   



- Catching white-water waves.  



- Standing up and turning.

 

- Wave knowledge, how to read the waves and calculate breakpoints.

- Surfing ethics and unwritten rules.  

Transport at the camp, we arrange the boat trips to and from the waves twice a day and car transport to explore the area free of charge. We will also arrange communal boat trips out to more distant bays.

The accommodation consists of five big new built bungalows (Dec 06) on the beach in Grupuk bay, about 15 minutes east of Kuta Lombok.

They all have very high standards, high ceiling, and built in a Japanese style. Every bungalow has its own kitchen with refrigerator, AC, Cable TV, mosquito net, WC, shower and bathtub. As a guest, you will be sharing the bungalows, three guests to each bungalow.

Everything is included.

Accommodation, meals, all equipment and surfing lessons. Usually there is a communal dinner consisting various Indonesian cuisine such as Nasi Goreng, Mie Goreng or Nasi Champur.

There is also the option to order other dishes from the menu but they are not included in the surf camp fee but at local prices. On the menu they have western meals like pizza, hamburgers, and various pastas. Water is free of charge.
