Scallywags restaurant has become a favorite for locals and tourists alike. All food, organic greens and fresh fish, is either flown or shipped in daily from Bali. Scallywags restaurant recently opened on Gili Trawangan’s 'South Beach' on the main strip. Chef Asier, who also started restaurants, including La Sal, which is located in Bali, serves superb and succulent dishes. Food from northern Spain's Basque region made with fresh organic and locally sourced ingredients. The Pan seared coral trout with Manchego salad and the signature dish such as tempura sardines drizzled with an apple is a must try.

Mmmm.Yummy, totally reasonably priced and a must try on your visit to Trawangan.

 Be Scallywagged...

HOT NEWS - Scallywags Organic Beach Club......now open in Gili Air.

Scallywags organic seafood bar and grill has recently opened a new sister restaurant on the quieter island of Gili Air, bringing the first international standard restaurant to the island.

With its actual beach front location, serving probably the best food on the islands, the choice is endless with a nightly BBQ of fresh organic lobster, mahi mahi, calamari, king prawns, yellow fin tuna, and for meat lovers imported fillet steak, striploin, or pork fillet kebabs.

There is also a daily menu including treats from home including Roast beef with caramelized red onion and a light horseradish sauce, sesame tuna tataki rocket soya mayo, or pork bangers with wasabi mashed potatoes.

And to finish tasty desserts like orange cinnamon tequila cheesecake, Drambuie chocolate truffles, or a red berry compote with vanilla balsamic ice cream.

All available on a tropical desert paradise island beach at extremely reasonable prices, and at consistently good quality.

"I just came from spending 7 days on the island and plan very much on returning in the near future. When i was there i hung out alot at Scallywags even though i didn\'t stay there. One of the reasons was their amazing lounge chairs. They are brown and made from Water hyacinth i think? My question is: Who manufactures and produces them? I\'ve tried to find them on the internet but with no luck. Please help me because i\'d love to buy a few! //Henrik "
